We are looking for a Senior Consultant , to join our MENA Academic and Government Consulting team within the Research & Analytics business unit.
In this role you will partner with universities, research institutes, industry R&D entities and public agencies to assess and advance innovation portfolios frameworks, design and put innovative process practices into operation. You will project manage multi-workstream engagements, coordinate stakeholders across the project lifecycle. You will also be responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, execution and completion of the project while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the Clarivate organisation.

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Master's degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline
Certified (or equivalent experience) in project/programme managment (examples: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, etc.)
At least 7 years of experience managing projects in a consulting or client-facing environment
Previous consulting experience with government and academic clients, start-ups, including portfolio reviews and programme delivery
It would be great if you also had . . .
Experience in SQL, R, or Python for analysis and dashboarding.
Demonstrated experience establishing or strengthening technology transfer offices (TTOs), including invention disclosure, IP triage, and commercialization pathways
Previous experience in academia and/or industry R&D
Track record working within start-up and innovation ecosystems (accelerators, incubators, venture, corporate partnerships)
Prior experience working with patents databases analytics tools
What will you be doing in this role?
The position offers challenging hypothesis-driven projects for professionals with an innovation and commercialization background and leadership experience. The Consultant will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:
Manage day-to-day execution: track progress, timelines and make prompt operational decisions or escalations to avoid delays.
Operate risks/issues/change control: keep a live RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) log and implement mitigation actions.
Serving as a point of contact to answer client questions and resolve project issues.
Provide concise reporting: publish clear status updates and dashboards for leadership and the client, highlighting progress, variances and decisions required.
Coordinate engagements from subject-matter experts and mentors: scope their tasks and schedule them at the right inflection points.
Manage stakeholder communications and training, track adoption KPIs, and document lessons learned into reusable playbooks and templates.
Drive adoption of successful practices into standard operating procedures.
