Responsibilities
- Business Consulting:
- Responsible for assessing, analyzing, and advising advisor clients on all business/practice management aspects, particularly in business strategy and planning, human capital, operations, branding, marketing, and business transition (M&A, valuation, and succession planning)

- Participate in marketing and awareness campaigns for new consulting concepts, services, and key business initiatives
- Participate in designing and delivering consulting subject matter presentations for educational and marketing purposes
- Collaborate with the AssetMark Sales Team to develop and deepen advisor relationships to improve client loyalty, drive AUM growth, and improve asset retention
- Manage consulting engagements according to firm standards of practice, including using approved forms, templates, and materials
- Utilize Salesforce and other technology according to the protocol to report, track and manage all client engagements, activities, and opportunities
- Lead, manage, or participate in the investigation, assessment, and research for critical initiatives as assigned by management
- Participate in and support full and purposeful integration with and support the AssetMark Sales Team
- Provide training, mentorship, and education to business consulting team members and other staff of AssetMark to ensure understanding of function, services, and support
- Consultants may be required to travel as much as 50% of the time, depending on business and client needs

AssetMark Business Consultants work closely with the AssetMark sales team members to deliver unparalleled consulting value, drive client awareness, deepen partnerships, develop direct business strategies, perform business assessments, make recommendations, and identify solutions. This role is responsible for improving the business performance, client satisfaction, and value for engaged offices and advisors, and must demonstrate knowledge of industry best practices across core business areas. Business Consultants are responsible for conducting business assessments, providing direction, education, and advice, supporting work-product development, and designing, documenting, and implementing resources with and for advisors. Business Consultants must be able to speak with prospects, facilitate discussions, and deliver live and virtual presentations to large and small groups. Business Consultants may spend up to 50% of their time traveling to client offices, speaking engagements, and professional development seminars.
