The Oncology Clinical Implementation Consultant - RN, is responsible for leading customer implementations as a project clinical lead. This role will have the ability to clearly understand customer's business objectives and drive the project towards those objectives through clinical workflow analysis and optimization. This role combines clinical experience with the ability to leverage advanced technology to address and solve complex challenges facing healthcare provider organizations today such as workflow optimization, healthcare organization transformation and the shift from volume-based care to value-based care. Core Responsibility Assisting our customers in developing best practice clinical operations with an emphasis on focused patient outcomes, patient care efficiencies, cost containment/reduction, and customer value propositions. Technical responsibilities may include evaluation of business processes, recommending process changes, process documentation, problem identification, database and system configuration, hardware/software specification and/or design, change management, testing recommended strategies, identifying training needs and solution deployment. Assisting in the creation and development of our consultative services Development of relevant metrics that demonstrate achievement of clinical, operational, and financial values Actively support product training and implementation through defined implementation processes, access to eLearning, onsite and remote training, and consistent follow-up to ensure adoption and optimal utilization of our solutions/products. Work as the clinical resource of the Varian project implementation team as an expert in content curation, product configuration, testing, and workflow. Own workflow current state to future state mapping with associated gap analysis Drive detailed requirements gathering sessions through on-site and remote analysis and customer interviews Work with the technical implementation team in translating workflow requirements to actionable technical configuration tasks Develop and help drive customer-specific user adoption strategies and best practices Provide onsite support during system Go-Live and immediate post Go-Live periods Minimum Skills and Knowledge RN with a history of at least 3 years of direct patient care experience in an oncology setting, with experience in Medical Oncology (MO) and Radiation Oncology (RO) preferred. Outpatient clinic experience is strongly preferred Product knowledge and ability to translate products and services into solutions Industry knowledge from a commercial, clinical, and healthcare executive perspective Organizational acumen/skills Executive presence Responsiveness and reliability Problem-solving skills Interpersonal skills Verbal and written communication skills Presentation skills Other Desired Skills and Knowledge Ability to assess baseline workflows and to develop future state workflows through the implementation of various Varian solutions, understand patient to care-team relationships, and possess an aptitude in standardized guidelines involving multiple acute and chronic disease diagnosis and treatment modalities. Possess an understanding of key elements that drive healthcare organizations business perspectives and the key metrics for payers and providers that focus on quality, patient satisfaction, and cost-based results.
