Maintain ing membership in good standing with a law society
Valid and in good standing driver's license
Willing to travel for various amounts of time
Ideal candidate will be situated in major city Centre in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick
Ability to work from home and i n the field
Knowledge of real estate law and industry in the Atlantic provinces
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational and scheduling skills
Excellent problem-solving capabilities and the ability to troubleshoot
Professional sales approach and the ability to build relationships
Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Background knowledge of title insurance is an asset
Knowledge of conveyancing software applications including Lender Centre (Assyst Real Estate), Unity or RealtiWeb and NextSTEPS an asset.

Job Summary
The Business Development Manager - Atlantic Canada is responsible for increasing Stewart's revenue by growing the client base and supporting its existing clients in the Atlantic Canada region.
The role will be home office based but does require frequent external visits to clients and prospects so the expectation is that this position will be based in Halifax or in one of the major New Brunswick cities.
This opportunity is ideally suited for individuals working in real estate law or with business development experience in title insurance, real estate, mortgage lending, or with legal products.
Job Responsibilities
identifying title insurance opportunities and increasing Stewart's market share & revenue in the Atlantic region
In person meetings with existing clients and prospective clients
Expand ing Stewart's relationships with large regional law firms
Managing day-to-day needs of a valuable client base , including r esponding to client inquiries and file matters
Identifying regionally specific opportunities for new coverage & services
Respond ing to requests from underwriting on matters pertaining to local real estate law, risk and procedure
Assist ing in setting strateg ies , planning, generating new initiatives, and work to achieve overall established goals
Assist ing on new initiatives- including business case writing and analysis
Recording & reporting on BD activities , market analysis, and client feedback
Be coming a subject matter expert and champion for Stewart products
Scheduling & conduct ing presentations and webinars to firms and industry associations
Solicit ing opportunities to participate with industry related organizations (CBA, RELAN S , UDI, BOMA, RHPNS etc )
Keeping informed of industry news and on issues that affect the real estate market
Keep ing informed of competitor information ( e.g. pricing, coverage) and provide market intelligence updates to VP
Working with other BD reps on the team with introductions, joint meetings, and presentations
Initiating and attending client functions and attending industry trade shows and events
Other duties as required or assigned
