Travelers is seeking a Technology Operations Engineer I in our Print Center to join our organization as we grow and transform our Enterprise Technology Solutions organization. This role will help ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems through a combination of software engineering and infrastructure expertise. This role will focus on print/mail, data, and mainframe print environment using database, programming, operating systems, hardware, and software experience. Technology Operations Engineers are responsible for building and maintaining automated solutions to manage system availability, incident response, monitoring, and capacity planning. These roles will collaborate closely with development teams, product owners, infrastructure, and operations teams to implement best practices and technical solutions to drive continuous improvement in service health while reducing operational toil and increasing deployment velocity. This role is on-site, work essential role in our Norcross, GA office. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US. Responsible for performing analysis, design, and implementation of reliability-focused infrastructure, services, and on-premises environments with a high degree of accuracy. Technical Execution: Define and implement technical requirements for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and deployment. Design and enhance CI/CD pipeline workflows to improve deployment automation, rollback safety, and service reliability while resolving infrastructure issues of intermediate complexity. Configure and optimize cloud-based and on-premises systems to ensure high availability, performance, and operational resilience. Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems while ensuring adherence to security protocols in both cloud and on-premises deployments. Strategic Input: Collaborate with software, platform, and infrastructure engineers to improve system reliability, scalability, and performance across hybrid environments. Perform other duties as assigned. What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have? Technical Expertise & Education: Three (3) years of site reliability/systems administration experience preferred. Cobol Experience Relational Database Knowledge (SQL) Basic programming knowledge (Python, VBA) Operating Systems Experience (Windows, Linux) Domain Expertise - Demonstrated track record of reliability expertise including the ability to understand system reliability concepts necessary to do the job effectively, demonstrate willingness, cooperation, and concern for business issues, and possess in-depth knowledge of immediate systems worked on. Strategic & Business Acumen: Delivery - Intermediate delivery skills including the ability to deliver reliability work at a steady, predictable pace to achieve commitments, decompose reliability assignments into small batch deployments, and contribute to reliability architecture tradeoff and negotiation discussions.
