About the role

The SLED & Healthcare Account Executive drives the adoption of Trellix's industry-leading cybersecurity portfolio within critical public sector and healthcare accounts. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor, demonstrating how our advanced threat detection and response solutions protect vital public infrastructure, student data, and patient care systems. Partnering closely with regional sales leaders, sales engineering, and our channel ecosystem, you will navigate complex procurement vehicles and compliance landscapes to maximize revenue, secure critical environments, and build a robust, long-term sales pipeline.

Responsibilities

Quota Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed assigned revenue quotas across software, SaaS, and professional services.

Territory & Account Management: Grow established SLED and Healthcare accounts, maximizing short-term wins while building a sustainable long-term pipeline through rigorous territory planning.

Executive Engagement: Partner with Sales Engineering to pitch, strategize, and close complex security deals at the C-level (CISOs, CIOs, CTOs, and state/local directors).

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside internal teams and channel partners to identify new opportunities outside your primary portfolio and ensure seamless, high-touch customer support.

Strategic Selling: Lead sales presentations, virtual and in-person product demonstrations, and structured on-site evaluations to show how Trellix solutions map to specific institutional needs.

Deal Architecture: Navigate public sector purchasing vehicles (e.g., NASPO, GSA, state contracts) and healthcare buying groups to accelerate the sales cycle.

About You

Industry Expertise: You have a proven track record of selling security-focused software, cloud solutions, and professional services to SLED entities and/or major Healthcare networks.

Public Sector & Health IQ: You understand the unique challenges of these verticals, including strict regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CJIS, FERPA), budget cycles, and grant funding mechanisms.

Trusted Advisor: You possess existing, high-level relationships within the territory and are comfortable navigating the multi-layered decision-making processes inherent in government and hospital systems.

Technical Aptitude: You have a strong foundational knowledge of networking topologies, cloud security, and the evolving threat landscape facing critical infrastructure.

Collaborative Closer: You thrive in a multi-tiered, multi-divisional sales environment and know how to leverage internal resources (such as inside sales and channel partners) to scale your efforts.

Experience: You bring 10+ years of combined high-technology or information security sales experience, with a significant focus on public sector or healthcare verticals.
