Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).
Experience: 3+ years in power generation, transmission, or NERC compliance roles.
Strong knowledge of NERC O&P (Operations & Planning) and CIP (Critical Infrastructure Protection) standards.
Familiarity with generator protection systems, control systems, and performance modeling.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
NERC Compliance Certification with Generation Focus on renewable and thermal assets.
Experience with compliance management software tools.
Prior participation in NERC audits or investigations.
Ability to see tasks through to completion without significant guidance
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong verbal and writing skills, technical and non-technical

Position Summary
AES Indiana is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive NERC Compliance Engineer to ensure our power generation operations meet all North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and Regional Entity standards. These generation assets include a fleet of renewable and thermal units.
