High School graduate or Certificate of General Educational Development (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required
1+ years experience in Pediatrics, Emergency Department or Urgent Care preferred
Collaborative teamwork skills within an interdisciplinary group focused on patient care.
Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment. Exhibits strong decision-making skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times according to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements.
Demonstrates compassion and patience with a deep level of concern for patients.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Must be able to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with patients, family, public, and other health care workers.
Must be able to cope with stressful situations, including death and dying and dealing with anguished relatives.
Ability to perform while under stress.
Ability to follow hospital policies, goals and procedures.
Ability to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
During periods of high volume, additional shifts may be required.

Schedule Details : one 10 hour PM shift per week ; weekend and holiday rotation
Administers care to patients and performs various patient care activities and tasks in collaboration with and under the direction of emergency medicine providers and nurses. Collaborates with other staff members in the performance of duties. Complies with all established standards and practices.
