A Lecturer (Level B) is expected to develop scholarly research outputs and professional activities relevant to the School of Engineering and Energy. This position contributes to the teaching effort of the school through the preparation and delivery of lectures, tutorials, other types of teaching activities, and supervision of honours and postgraduate students and is expected to perform a range of administrative and service functions within the College and across the University. This role is within the School's Energy discipline and will be expected to teach primarily into postgraduate units in the Master of Decarbonisation, Energy and Sustainability Management. The successful candidate will bring expertise in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability reporting frameworks (including International Financial Reporting Standards S1 and S2 (IFRS S1/S2), Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) sustainability standards, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)), materiality assessment, and the development of sustainability KPIs supported by robust governance and compliance processes. The role requires capability in corporate sustainability strategy design and implementation, including stakeholder engagement and change management, and the ability to apply sustainable procurement principles across organisational operations and supply chains. Experience and/or teaching capability relating to smart cities, green buildings, sustainable infrastructure and urban resilience is highly regarded, underpinned by strong systems thinking and an ability to work across interdisciplinary sustainability challenges.
