Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in job related field

-OR- 2-year Associates degree AND two (2) years of job related experience

-OR- High school diploma AND four (4) years of job related experience

-AND- 1-year of supervisory experience in job related field

A valid Florida Driver's License from the time of hire

The ability to obtain a Florida Landfill Operator certification and Stormwater Inspector certification within six (6)months from the time of hire

Preferred "BONUS" Qualifications:

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel

Knowledge of landfill operations, maintenance practices, and environmental regulations

Skilled in operation and maintenance of heavy equipment

Ability to read and interpret prints, plans, specifications, and regulatory documents

Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years.

Physical Demands: Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.

About Everything Else

Starting Pay Range: $31.17 - $33.50/ hour , based on experience
