University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
0-2 years of accounting experience , internships or traineeships acceptable
Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP principles (coursework or early professional exposure)
Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel preferred
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn structured accounting processes
Very good written and spoken English (knowledge of additional languages a plus)
Strong willingness to learn and develop

The Staff GL (A2R) Accountant supports period-end close and reporting activities for U.S.-based entities while working within a European accounting team. This role provides foundational exposure to U.S. GAAP accounting, month-end close processes, and internal controls in a global corporate environment.
This role reports to a supervisor in the North America Controllership Team (United States).
Key responsibilities include:
Assist with monthly close activities under supervision, including journal entry preparation and posting
Support balance sheet account reconciliations and basic variance analysis
Maintain accounting documentation in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal control standards
Assist with intercompany accounting and group reporting activities
Provide supporting documentation for audit requests and internal control testing
Help prepare standard reports and schedules for corporate accounting and management review
Participate in process improvement and standardization initiatives
Respond to ad-hoc accounting and operational requests from senior team members
