Responsibilities

  • Execute content creation efforts, including, planning, writing, formatting, structuring, and Veeva publication of in-field materials, ensuring content is scientifically accurate, technically correct, and aligned with AbbVie standards, branding, and referencing guidelines

  • Operationalize the content performance analytics framework and leverage insights to drive continuous Worldwide Content optimization
  • Lead the in-field content management strategy within Veeva, including portal architecture, content organization, maintenance, metadata, and tagging standards
  • Establish TA-specific content timelines to ensure timely delivery and training on in-field resources across US and OUS markets
  • Partner with Medical & Scientific Learning to design an integrated Learning and Content Plan that leverages internal training assets and external HCP-facing content
  • Identify, codify, and share best practices in HCP-facing content creation and execution to advance our in-field teams' engagements.
  • Key stakeholders: TA Medical Business Units, International TA Teams, Global Medical Operations Teams, Value & Evidence Teams, Regulatory, OEC/Legal, Global Strategic Operations
  • Education: Scientific / medical / health science / clinical education required
  • Advanced Degree: A.P.R.N. PharmD., Ph.D., or M.D., required
  • Experience: 7 years of professional experience required, with at least 3 years of previous medical affairs, scientific communications or clinical development experience
  • Strong knowledge of Pharma regulatory and compliance guidelines required
  • Must possess strong abilities to lead in environments of organizational change
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills and creative and strategic thinking
  • The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and interface in a dynamic environment across departments
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills required
  • Content creation skills, including interpretation of clinical research, medical writing, content design and formatting
  • Excel knowledge and proficiency

The AD Content Excellence focuses on the implementation of a new Enterprise Medical Affairs & Health Impact (MHI) Worldwide Content Model. This role requires cross-functional leadership in the planning, development, and transition to one In-Field Content Model across the Business Unit TA and International TA teams. The role is primarily responsible for creation of in-field content from planning to publication and distribution. This role will also co-lead in-field content strategy for materials to support MSL engagement with HCPs across multiple channels for a specific TA team. This role will pull through internal capabilities aimed to optimize MHI's ability to deliver accurate and engaging medical content to our HCPs through multichannel learning journeys. He/she will partner closely with the leaders in the MHI TA teams, Medical Engagement teams, Global Strategic Operation teams, OEC/Legal and BTS. Overall, the responsibilities of this role will build new ways of working that deliver optimized planning, creation and delivery of in-field content that drive organizational efficiencies and cost savings. The organizational leadership in this role will be critical to executing an End-to-End Medical Engagement model that delivers industry leading scientific exchange with innovative in-field materials. This position is within the MHI Medical Engagement organization, in the Content Excellence team that sits within the IMPACT team. Must be willing to work onsite in the Mettawa, IL office 3 days per week.
