7+ years of experience in facilities maintenance / operations (Biopharmaceutical Industry Strongly Preferred)
Demonstrated understanding of controls for biopharmaceutical process equipment and unit operations including integration of single use processing equipment, i.e., fermenters, bioreactors, centrifuge, UF/DF skids, filtration, chromatography, etc.
Strong working knowledge of control strategies for HVAC mechanical systems including Air Handlers, Hot Water Systems, Chilled Water Systems
Strong working knowledge of control strategies for process utilities and process equipment and systems
Ability to methodically troubleshoot complex multi-system challenges
Troubleshooting of sequence of operations on skidded equipment and systems and in field devices including tuning of control loops
Participate in the PM tasks associated with skidded equipment
Strong working communication skills and ability to work in a team environment with a positive attitude
Certified Control Systems Technician or similar certificate a plus
Licensed Electrician a plus

The Facilities Systems Specialist will report directly to the Manager, Plant Facilities. The systems specialist will support and lead technical projects for the Rentschler Biopharma Milford Engineering department. The systems specialist will leverage experience with mechanical, electrical and controls systems to support facility startup, optimization, and operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supporting engineering projects with technical expertise in automation, mechanical, and electrical
Developing written plans for system testing and documentation
Leading the startup of facilities building management system for integration of new mechanical and utility systems as part of capital projects
Representing facilities department for commissioning and qualification of HVAC and process utility equipment and systems
Supporting and developing reliability, redundancy and spare parts programs for critical facilities and manufacturing equipment and systems
Assisting and or leading facilities technicians in technical troubleshooting to resolve ongoing site operational challenges
Development of quality documentation Standard Operating Procedures for new mechanical and process utility equipment and systems
Supporting startup, tuning and cycle development of process utility and process systems
Training and guiding facilities maintenance technicians on newly implemented mechanical systems, or system changes to ensure successful transition of ownership from project team to operations team
Execute daily rounds on rotating schedule for critical and support utilities and respond to conditions out of normal operating limits
Must be "on call" as required and carry a cell phone to respond to facility emergencies
