Job Description:
Brown University Athletics is seeking candidates for the Communications Intern seasonal position. The successful candidate will assist in the social media, content, and game day needs of assigned varsity sports. This position will serve as the primary contact for select sports and assist with the day-to-day operations of the athletic communications office.
Located in Providence, Rhode Island, and a member of the Ivy League, our intercollegiate athletics program consists of 38 varsity teams with approximately 1,000 athletes who participate within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA-D1).
Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist with content and social media efforts for position's primary and secondary sport assignments.
Assist with game day coverage of position's primary and secondary sport assignments including but not limited to managing social accounts, the keeping of statistics, and the posting of pre, post, and in-game content.
Write press releases to appear on BrownBears.com.
Maintain daily internal and external communications for primary sport assignments.
Perform additional duties and assist with other projects as assigned.
Ability to work nights and weekends.
