RnD Assistant Engineer

Responsibilities

• Set up, conduct, and lead Pen Health tests per documented instructions or test details provided by engineer.
• Communicate with engineer on Pen Health issues encountered during the test and perform basic troubleshooting steps provided.
• Help to run test banks when there is resource crunch.
• Provide training and guidance to tester for any technical matters.
• Basic data collection using lab equipment (Eg. Microscope, Etester) as instructed by engineer.
• Query and analyze the test results using Software (Eg. JMP, Excel) and generate test reports.
• Provide maintenance of lab equipments (Eg. Inspector scanners, Etester, microscopes).
• Support ad-hoc test requests from the Writing Systems (WS) team.
• Maintain the tidiness and upkeep of WS lab and Image Grading Room.

Requirements

• Diploma or Nitec in Engineering
• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in Engineering field.
• Experience with basic data charting and analysis will be an advantage
• Knowledge in basic scripting/coding (Python/R) will be an advantage.
• Proficient and/or willing to learn Microsoft Office (Powerpoint/Excel/Word).
• Attention to detail and organized.- Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good problem solving skills.
• Hands-on approach.
