Your day-to-day responsibilities Assembly of large, but very lightweight unmanned aircraft Fabrication of lightweight aircraft structures/components and building CFRP composite parts Development of new assembly, integration and testing processes, and tools for an ultra-light UAV Manufacturing of electronics assemblies and sub-level components (such as cable harness manufacturing and battery manufacturing of state-of-the-art high power density batteries) Transitioning new designs from engineering to manufacturing
Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience as an electrical/electromechanical/electronic technician with a hands-on approach
- Experience with mechanical prototyping (3D printing, using basic mechanical workshop equipment)
- Basic knowledge of CAD tools
- Good command of the English language, both oral and written
- Hands-on experience in aircraft, robot, race car or similar system prototyping & manufacturing
- Good systems and physics understanding
- Experience with composites
- Experience working with electronic equipment (prototype boards, harness, test setups)
- Development of process improvements and setups to improve cycle times, repeatability, and maturity
- Proactive, can-do attitude

Beyond the build itself, you will play an active role in developing and refining the assembly and testing processes that will carry this programme from early prototypes into a mature, repeatable production flow - working closely with engineers to transition new designs from drawing board to reality.
