Cost Management: Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to reduce overall expenses without compromising on quality or performance.
People Management: Recruit, coach, mentor, and indirectly manage junior staff as necessary.
Requirements
10+ years in strategic sourcing in a complex, global environment (ideally financial services, technology, or consulting)
Experience partnering with internal stakeholder organizations at the COO and Managing Director level
Design and execute sourcing strategies that balance cost optimization, quality and innovation
Translate sophisticated spend, usage, and risk analytics into executive‑ready business cases and recommendations
Lead complex negotiations and contract structures with the largest suppliers in the respective fields
Expertise with category planning, competitive bidding techniques (RFI, RFP, RFQ), creation of business cases, vendor selection, vendor risk due diligence, operations management, and vendor dispute/escalation management
Financial modeling skills for negotiation scenarios, total cost of ownership, and demand forecasts
Depth in drafting, redlining, and negotiating global contracts, including experience drafting service level agreements (SLAs) and experience level agreements (XLAs)
Solid understanding of contract law and regulatory obligations in financial services
