State Employees' Credit Union (SECU's) Learning and Development function is an important driver of business success. As we work to create meaningful learning experiences, Instructional Designers operate within project teams to ensure programs deployed meet pre-defined learning objectives. Instructional Designers align closely with business subject matter experts, various learning professionals and external vendors to identify needs and create solutions. They leverage all types of learning modalities, system capabilities and evaluation methods to create learning programs that support business outcomes and drive our learner engagement. 40% Collaborate closely with the learning team and business units to align course content with program objectives, regulatory standards, and education best practices. Provide training, support, and resources to team members and staff on the effective use of instructional technologies and best practices in teaching and learning. This may include workshops, one-on-one consultations, and creating guides and tutorials. 20% Evaluate and implement instructional technology tools to facilitate engaging and interactive online learning experiences. 20% Partner with subject matter experts to gain an in-depth understanding and analyze key business drivers, strategy goals, and business challenges. Devise original designs and basic concepts for the development of new and innovative training materials, activities, and programs. For example, scripts, role play activities, case studies, and participant / facilitator guides. Build implementation plans which result in synchronous and asynchronous high-quality participant experiences. 10% Evaluate training programs by reviewing and/or facilitating surveys, focus groups, or interviews and compile data to determine the effectiveness of the learning programs and work with the project team to make required adjustments. Desired Education Bachelors Acceptable Fields of Study: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or similar focus or equivalent experience. Required Relevant Experience 5 Years Desired Relevant Experience 5 Years Required Knowledge, Abilities, Skills - Data Analytics to create reports and build dashboards to provide ROI and impact metrics to executive teams. - Familiarity with creating reports and dashboards in data analytics tools such as Tableau, webFOCUS, PowerBI or similar. - Proficiency with Excel for data comparisons, functions, data management. - Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and projects concurrently, set and meet deadlines. - Self-starter and solution oriented. - Ability to track through long-term projects to completion, self-regulating to meet goals and deadlines. Desired Knowledge, Abilities, Skills Ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels. Experience in Adult Learning Theory and design/development of instructional materials, preferred.
