Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) The SSD team at College Board is a close knit, dedicated team of 28 people with a passion for helping test-takers with disabilities from around the world receive appropriate accommodations on College Board tests. The team is committed to providing exceptional decision making, education, and outreach to support test-takers, school personnel, and family members/guardians. We pride ourselves on being thorough and knowledgeable by staying current in the field. We also work closely with various College Board teams including but not limited to ACO, AP, SAT Suite of Assessments, and our State and District Partners. You will be instrumental in College Board's mission to clear a path for all students to own their future . College Board provides accommodations to test-takers with disabilities so they can demonstrate their knowledge and skills. Your role will ensure that College Board exams accurately reflect the test-taker's aptitude/achievement rather than their disability. A C linical M anager is an integral member of a team of professionals responsible for ensuring that test-takers with disabilities have access to all College Board tests. U nder the direction of the Directors of Clinical Review , you assist with all activities associated with evaluating students' disability documentation to determine eligibility for accommodations on College Board tests (i.e., SAT Suite of Assessments; AP, CLEP) . Additionally, the Clinical Manager communicat es with school personnel , test - takers, families/guardians, and other College Board departments regarding documentation and accommodations , and serves as a resource in understanding psycho-educational assessment. In this role you will: Documentation Review and Determination (80%) C onduct cross program reviews of documentation from students seeking accommodations on College Board test s . Produc e accurate and well-reasoned eligibility determinations that ensure access to College Board tests for test-takers with disabilities. Outreach & Customer Service (15%) Handl e direct verbal and written communications with secondary schools, education professionals (counselors, psychologists, etc.) , parents/ guardians, and test-takers relevant to decisions, documentation, and accommodations. Listen carefully and with empathy to parent and test- taker concerns . Educate the caller about the review and appeal process es . Provide guidance on how accommodations are provided on College Board tests to ensure the test- takers needs are being addressed by the approved accommodations . Maintain communication with relevant professional organizations to highlight College Board's mission to serve test - takers with disabilities. Collaboration, C onsultation and Technology (5%) Use various databases to gather relevant student data. Consult and collaborate with colleagues from both intra and interdisciplinary professions (psychology, neuropsychology , audiology, vision experts, medical experts) . P rovide and receive feedback to ensure the effectiveness, quality assurance and efficiency of the eligibility process. Produ ce materials that provide information relevant to accommodations on College Board tests, including presentations, print and web-based educational tools, and resources to be used for training and professional development. F acility and openness to exploring and using technology, innovation, and AI. About You Education/Experience: Psy .D./Ph.D. degree in relevant psychological and education area . 4 to 6 years of direct work experience as a professional in the practice of psychological/ educational assessment in secondary school or postsecondary level. K nowledge of secondary school issues/trends related to test-takers with disabilities . E xtensive knowledge of assessments and procedures as they relate to the determination of various disabilities and appropriate accommodations . S trong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to team members , o ther professionals, educators, test-takers , and parents /guardians . E xcellent verbal and written communication skills, instructional/training skills, and computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, Zoom, Slack . A bility to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously and prioritize judiciously .
