Mahoney State Park is currently seeking a welcoming and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist. In this role, you'll be working in the park's Group Function Department to help plan and coordinate special events in the park. You will also be working hand in hand with families and companies to set up weddings, reunions, business meetings, and other types of events that they are interested in hosting at the park. JOB DUTIES: - Assist in coordinating and booking group conferences, business meetings, family reunions, catered events, etc. for Eugene T Mahoney State Park as well as assist in planning and implementing special park events. - Determine specific needs for reserved event (food service, lodging, room arrangements, equipment needs, special requests, etc.) and relay needs to appropriate park department staff. - Assist with development and implementation of advertising, marketing, and promotion of park facilities to qualifying organizations and the public. - Assist group coordinators with any last-minute needs that may arise. - Maintain records on advanced deposits for group reservations and enter related data into computer system. - Prepare and send invoices for event billing. - Draft and prepare correspondence to group conference contacts and park staff to coordinate activities. - Perform related duties as required. Requirements / Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications : At least three months experience working in a recreational area, scenic attraction, hospitality, historical, retail or customer service setting, agricultural setting, or related coursework/training.
