Develop and implement training plans tailored to various skill levels, from novice to competitive swimmers.
Team Development:
Foster a spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among team members.
Organize and oversee swimming meets, ensuring all participants are prepared and supported.
Safety and Instruction:
Ensure swimmer safety during practices and events by adhering to safety protocols.
Provide individual feedback and encouragement to swimmers, helping them to improve their techniques and performance.
Communication:
Maintain open lines of communication with swimmers, parents, and club management regarding progress, expectations, and events.
Organize team meetings and communicate schedules effectively.
Requirements
Previous experience in swim coaching or teaching swim lessons.
Strong knowledge of competitive swimming techniques and rules.
Lifeguard certification and CPR/First Aid certification
Excellent communication skills and a passion for working with children and adolescents.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Work Environment:
This position will primarily take place at the Dominion Country Club pool, requiring physical activity and engagement with team members.
