About the role
This role sits within the Perpetual Wealth Management Investment Research t eam and will assist in the management of Multi-Manager Equities and Growth Alternative strategies, including contributing to the delivery of the research agenda. Y ou'll research and make recommendations on a wide breadth of investment managers and opportunities , including our Responsible Investment options . You'll contribute to the design and portfolio construction of multi-manager funds, implemented and model portfolios and the delivery of investment solutions for our clients. You'll : Conduct in-depth research and due diligence across E quities and G rowth A lternatives to identify and recommend high-quality investment opportunities, including Responsible Investment focused strategies. Maintain and monitor the Approved Product List (APL) for relevant sectors and asset classes , ensuring consistency across investment recommendations, approvals, model portfolios and investment opportunities pipeline . Contribute to portfolio strategy and asset allocation decisions, including development of the house view and sourcing of opportunistic investments. Prepare and deliver high-quality investment insights, reports, and presentations to the I nvestment C ommittee and Board , advisers, and clients. Portfolio management duties such as implementation of portfolio changes and corporate actions ( e.g. portfolio transitions, trading, currency hedging, etc.) . About You We're looking for someone with: An appropriate undergraduate degree (commerce, economics, business, finance or other technical area of study e.g. science ) and/or relevant investment post-graduate qualifications ( e.g. CFA , CAIA, MBA, MAppFin ). 1-5 + years' experience as a multi-manager /dealer group research analyst with demonstrable experience in Equities and Growth Asset Income classes research . Investment experience across traditional and alternative asset classes, including portfolio management of multi-manager funds. Strong understanding of portfolio construction theory, investment markets, and financial instruments. Knowledge and experience of ESG factors and Responsible Investing. Strong numeric, modelling and analytical skills, as well as strong presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in Investment Committee reporting. A track record of taking ownership and accountability of decisions that impact investment performance.
