About the role
Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care. Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards. Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges. Consistently upholds all applicable quality and safety standards within diagnostic imaging, such as radiation safety, MRI safety, Infection prevention measures safe practices (as applicable to the role) to protect self, patients, visitors and team members Ensures a positive patient experience throughout care delivery Supports department initiatives to improve relationships, reliability, efficiency, growth Supports additional responsibilities aligned with patient care and department needs Performs Nuclear Medicine imaging, inclusive of planar, SPECT/CT, and PET/CT imaging delivery Works in Radiopharmacy to assist with dispensing of radiopharmaceuticals for health system delivery Assist with research studies and trials Required : Graduate of accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist Program Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine (N) Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Accreditation Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred : Knowledge of Siemens e.soft work environment.
