A Day in the Life: The Williams Overland Pass Pipeline consists of 18 active main line pumping units at 9 pump stations located from the Front Range of Colorado to McPherson (Conway), KS. As an Operations Technician you will be expected to live within 30 miles of the Williams Conway facility and in this role you will be required to travel periodically to each location providing the mechanical expertise and functions listed below to ensure reliability for these critical pumps on Overland Pass Here is an overview of some of the tasks you will be performing: Supports, services, troubleshoots, maintains, installs, and repairs centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, and lube oil systems Performs pump and driver alignment and inspections, seal flush system flow monitoring, and leak detection system rebuilds and replacements Conducts quarterly vibration collection, monitoring, and trending, as well as temperature and pump performance monitoring and trending Provides support to local operations technicians, including pump related calibrations, inspections, and training Coordinates with the local operations team and contractors to perform major O&M maintenance on pumps Drives predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance to ensure the reliability of critical pumps Collaborates with Tier 2/3 support personnel and assists with pump related capital and expense projects Orders and secures parts and supplies, and maintains a critical spare parts list for procurement Maintains, prepares, and interprets reports and records, including work logs, inspection reports, and oil analysis reports Maintain appropriate OQ's related to above tasks We are looking for highly motivated individuals with strong mechanical backgrounds! Responsibilities/Expectations: Performs various tasks to safely maintain equipment and support pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/supervising equipment and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry Physical and Environment Work Requirements: Must be willing to: Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) Use hand tools Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements: Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays Other Requirements: Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost pri
