Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.
Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.
Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.
Frequent overhead work.
Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.

This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and erect assigned components using various metals, including stainless steel, galvanized steel, and black iron (e.g., angle iron, channel iron, round stock, and flat stock).
- Perform all three major welding methods: TIG, MIG, and ARC welding.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, as well as shop equipment, including metal shear, brake, drill press, lathe, plasma cutter, oxy-acetylene torch, and sanders.
- Weld in multiple positions, including flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, sketches, and work orders to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
- Execute precision work within close tolerances using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment based on blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions.
- Inspect completed parts for defects and verify conformance to specifications.
- Perform machining tasks, including lathe operations, broaching, drilling, tapping, and related functions.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe, clean, and organized manner, including welding, cutting, and measuring equipment.
- Follow company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety standards and regulations.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
