THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MILITARY & FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T57014P1 and is part of the FL JFHQ, National Guard. AREA OF CONSIDERATION: This position is in the Exceptive Service "under the authority of Title 5, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA)" and is open to on board Title 5 only (Tenure 1, 2 and 3) federal employees/technicians (T5) within the agency. Tenure can be in block 24 on your latest SF 50. PCS: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs, MAY be authorized. Authorization for payment of PCS expenses will be granted ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. Recruitment / Relocation: Incentive MAY be authorized. ONLY after determination is made that payment is in the best interest of the Florida National Guard. FLNG BUS Code 8888: This position is "excluded" and ineligible for labor organization representation. NOTE: YOU MUST UPLOAD YOUR MOST RECENT SF 50 (eg. General Adjustment) TO BE CONSIDERED GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE - GS-09: Must have at least one year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level or the equivalent which provides knowledge and/or experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information; experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled; experience using computer and automation systems; experience utilizing automated systems; experience providing technical assistance and guidance to National Guard service members and families pertaining to entitlements and benefits; experience planning and executing Family Readiness Programs such as (but not limited to) Crisis Management, Legal, Financial, Tricare, ID/DEERS at a state National Guard level; experience coordinating efforts in family readiness programs that may have included employment outreach, volunteer training and management and quality of life and the well-being of Service members and families; experience briefing leaders and Commanders on the status of a unit's Family Program.
