Supervise and participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements
Monitor and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts
General Accounting & Controls
Maintain integrity of the general ledger
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Oversee accruals, reserves, and financial estimates
Support internal and external audit requests
Identify and implement improvements to internal controls
Supervision & Team Leadership
Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff
Assign and review work to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Establish performance expectations and provide regular feedback
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and standardize processes
Support ERP system enhancements and automation initiatives
Strengthen documentation and financial governance practices
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments
Support inventory accounting and related controls (if applicable)
Assist leadership with financial analysis and reporting needs
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred, even indirectly
Public accounting experience a plus
CPA preferred (or in progress)
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of internal controls
