Experience underwriting complex construction casualty risks, including or adjacent to loss‑sensitive programs
Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, particularly when evaluating loss history and risk characteristics
Financial acumen and sound underwriting judgment

Ownership mentality with consistent follow‑through
Adaptability in a dynamic, evolving marketplace

Requirements
3+ years of construction casualty underwriting experience preferred
Experience with loss‑sensitive programs, large deductibles, or structured accounts a plus
Prior commercial construction carrier underwriting experience required
Proven success building internal and external partnerships
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong organizational, analytical, and decision‑making abilities
High‑energy, entrepreneurial mindset with resilience
Travel: 25%-30% to neighboring states
Valid driver's license (company pool car may be provided)
Note: Final position title and level will be determined based on the selected candidate's qualifications.
Work Arrangement
This role offers a Hybrid work arrangement:
Candidates are expected to work at our Hartford office in Brea, CA Tuesday through Thursday if they are not in-market.
