Scoping Execution & Ownership: Take ownership of assigned scoping activities, translating customer needs into accurate effort estimates, project timelines, and finalized Statements of Work (SOWs) using professional principles and techniques
Evaluative Problem Solving: Address minimally ambiguous scoping challenges by reviewing a variety of factors. Adapt established practices and apply company policies to determine the most appropriate action for standard implementations
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain productive internal working relationships, regularly interacting with high-level individual contributors and managers across Sales, Delivery, and Product teams to align on project scope
Task Prioritization: Independently manage and prioritize routine scoping work while receiving detailed guidance only on new or highly complex assignments
Team Contribution & Mentorship: Contribute directly to the success of a small team by ensuring the quality of your own work. Provide broad guidance and support to individuals in process-oriented or entry-level roles (e.g., Associate Scoping Analysts)
Requirements
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
2 years experience in professional services, pre-sales, scoping, implementation, or technical consulting within the SaaS industry
Prior experience in SaaS implementation, pre-sales technical consulting, or professional services scoping
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and interact confidently with managers and senior individual contributors across multiple departments
Ability to evaluate varied factors to understand problems and apply acquired techniques to resolve them
Capacity to exercise sound judgment within defined procedures and adapt practices when necessary
Strong ability to begin independently prioritizing work based on clearly defined overall objectives.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, tailored to both peer and management audiences
Strong interpersonal skills necessary to build productive, regular interactions across similar internal business areas
Ability to independently evaluate and resolve standard scoping questions without immediate escalation
Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
Willingness to travel up to 25% for team and corporate meetings
Reliable internet access for any period of time while working remotely

The Scoping Analyst is an intermediate professional role focused on owning and delivering core SaaS implementation scoping activities. Working with clearly defined objectives, you will apply your business understanding and practical knowledge of Workiva technical standards to evaluate standard to moderately complex scoping requirements. At this level, you begin to independently prioritize your day-to-day work, exercising judgment within defined procedures to solve minimally ambiguous problems.
