Responsibilities

  • Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
  • Plan and align the integration of the electronic vehicle commissioning on a specific ECU level into manufacturing by utilizing the diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders (R&D, Assembly shopfloor, Quality, etc.) to meet organizational objectives and production requirements.
  • Coordinate the concept scope and timeline for pre-series and series phase and perform commissioning during launch phase.
  • Support triage during integration phase as well as issue resolution process.
  • Develop processes, specifications and production code to implement the next generation of software-defined vehicles.
  • Be the representative for production within engineering system teams for concept and launch phase.
  • Monitor and track technical changes for vehicle diagnostics, security, and architectures throughout the validation process.
  • Perform validation process before a final program release to assembly line to ensure all required steps are fulfilled correctly. Document results and define action plan.
  • Perform system analysis to understand strengths, drawbacks, and limitations.
  • Evaluate and enhance vehicle commissioning concepts that produce exceptional quality, reduce budget, and reduce production cycle time.
  • Location & Travel Expectations :
  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
  • This role requires daily attendance in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in automotive technology, electrical engineering or computer science or equivalent field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years professional experience with expertise in automotive development, manufacturing engineering, production planning.
  • Proficiency in advanced programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java or similar
  • Knowledge of vehicle engineering processes and understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to set direction and guide the team towards it.
  • Demonstrated ability in creative and strategic problem-solving, with experience troubleshooting vehicle systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required for all roles at Scout Motors, Inc.
