The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the raw material quartz processing facility. This role involves troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with the installation and repair of various systems and equipment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance tasks on processing equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, mills, and other machinery, according to established schedules and procedures. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system failures, and perform corrective maintenance and repairs in a timely and effective manner. Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Assist in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, including loaders, trucks, and rail equipment. Inspect equipment for defects, wear, and damage, and perform necessary repairs or replacements. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to perform maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and repairs. Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Assist in the management of spare parts inventory, ensuring that items used are properly checked out. Critical parts are readily available. Document all maintenance activities accurately and completely in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and emergency response drills. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance and Automation Manager. Qualifications & Skills: Technical degree in related field, 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance setting Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical manuals. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing automated systems and equipment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as automation control systems (PLCs, HMIs). Strong understanding of industrial sensors, actuators, and control devices. Basic welding skills Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to automation systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer proficiency for programming and documentation.
