The Cash Reconciliation Specialist will be responsible for reconciling all payments through multiple bank accounts for Europe. This role will be responsible for reviewing bank statements, posting and allocating all payments, preparing journal entries and cash reporting. Working closely with key European internal senior stakeholders, accounts payable team, global payments team, project teams and Record to Analyse team to ensure all payment transactions are processed and cleared in time for the month end. This role will be essential to support Financial Planning and Analysis team with the cash reporting and tracking of disbursements against the Outlook and Plan for UK, Ireland and Europe. Close monitoring of actual spend throughout the month against the Outlook and identifying risks and opportunities. Responsibility for preparation of cash disbursements forecast every month and monitoring actuals against forecast. This includes annual Plan preparation and submission to FP&A for forthcoming financial years. Working with internal teams on additional projects and identify system improvements. Operating across the Europe region the role will be responsible for process improvements and quality review with the primary aim to improve cash flow and best practice. Ensuring compliance with SOX controls including periodic self-testing. In addition, the role will support fraud prevention and compliance activities by performing supplier positive confirmations, including direct verification of bank account details and other critical supplier information. The specialist will also manage business-critical and escalated cases, including legal matters, accounts on stop, sanctions-related queries, payment investigations, and urgent supplier or stakeholder requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimal operational disruption. Reviewing bank statements on a daily basis for each individual bank account Ensuring invoices are processed and allocation of all payments. Identifying refunds and rejections and clearing these from the bank reconciliation. Preparing all payment related journal entries and ensuring all supporting documentation is attached. Collaborate with accounts payable team to ensure all invoices as received and booked timely to ensure accurate and efficient allocation of payments. Work closely with the R2A team on clearing open bank reconciliation items and ensuring all payments are allocated by the end of each month Monitor PWP actuals against the forecast and identify risks and opportunities Work with the FP&A team on a weekly basis to report cash disbursements tracking against the Plan and the Outlook. Prepare intercompany report each month as part of the monthly forecast Work with project teams on PWP reporting and ensure this is incorporated in the monthly forecast Preparing the monthly forecast and liaise with local finance managers for finalization Monitor actual spend against monthly forecast Prepare annual cash disbursements plan for forthcoming financial year and agree and finalise with local finance managers Conduct supplier positive confirmation procedures, including verification of banking details and critical supplier information through direct supplier outreach, to mitigate fraud risk and ensure adherence to internal control requirements. Manage and resolve business-critical and escalated cases, including accounts on stop, legal queries, payment investigations, and supplier escalations. Provide operational and financial support across the EMEA region, including Europe, the Middle East, and India, ensuring timely processing, issue resolution, and stakeholder support across multiple markets. At least 3 years experience in Finance and Purchase to Pay process matters Proficient in Italian language Experience of Coupa and Oracle systems preferred.
