For Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations, please contact Megan Jones at megan.jones@nebraska.gov. - Install, alter, repair, and maintain pipe systems above, below, and within structures (walls, floors, ceilings, etc.). - Work with plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, water heaters, faucets, and kitchen/laundry equipment. - Maintain and repair components like traps, vents, drains, siphons, pumps, valves, and shock arrestors. - Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to identify and correct deficiencies. - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications; sketch plumbing layouts. - Estimate time, materials, and cost for work orders; requisition necessary supplies. - Install and maintain fire protection sprinkler systems, sewage systems, and water treatment facilities. - Repair and adjust mechanical equipment including water/steam pumps, compressors, and fuel storage systems. - Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations. - Train and guide helpers and apprentices in plumbing techniques and safety procedures. Requirement's/Qualifications Minimum qualifications: Training and experience in the plumbing trade. Other: Must have a valid driver's license.
