About the Operations Section: The Operations Section of NCEM provides outreach, support, and response to assist local governments during periods of emergency and disasters. The primary function of the Multi-Hazard Field Planner is to carry out all directives, relating to the Homeland Security and Emergency Management Programs, emanating from the Branch Manager, the Operations Section Chief, and the Division Director in compliance with applicable federal laws, state laws, executive orders, published policies, and established procedures. This will be done in coordination with the Homeland Security, Planning, and Operations Branches. The Multi-Hazard Field Planner serves as liaison between local governments in his/her assigned counties and the Division of Emergency Management as it relates to his/her duties. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $57,983 - $101,470 Recruitment Range: $57,983 - $65,000 ***This posting will close at 11:59pm on 6/18/2026*** **The selected candidate will be required to report in office/on site for the first 90 days of employment** This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits , including paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, retirement, and health insurance.
