About the role

Nasdaq is looking for a Financial Planning Senior Specialist to join the Capital Access Platforms Data team within the growing business unit in Vilnius. The FP&A role drives the planning processes for the unit including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, monthly actuals, headcount management, reporting and analytics. This position is a key member of the Business Control team which works very closely with the business unit leadership on a regular basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our business leads by providing insightful financial analysis and contributing to budget-setting and forecasting processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with various departments and make a significant impact on our financial strategies.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business leads to inform budget-setting and ongoing forecasts for headcount plans and operational expenses, aligned with the company's revenue goals.

Participate in meetings with business leads to gather insights and provide financial guidance.

Record accurate transactions during month-end close procedures.

Provide variance commentary between actuals and forecasts, identifying key drivers and trends.

Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to support strategic decision-making.

Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management.

Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

What we expect

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

5+ years of experience in a similar role

Solid understanding of financial planning business processes and budgeting

High proficiency in utilizing Workday, OneStream, MS Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to work with large sets of data to spot trends and anomalies, understand the details while being able to tell the big picture story.

Keen attention to details and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines; have an ability to remain calm under pressure and in the face of uncertainty.

Must be proactive, resourceful, and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
