Reporting to the Supervisor, Parks, the Seasonal Maintenance Operator supports daily activities of operational services within the division. The Seasonal Maintenance Operator will perform a variety of operational tasks to support parks while ensuring they are meeting service levels and following all safety standards. This is a contract position, the successful candidate must be available to work until September 30, 2026, including shift work and weekends as required. Major Job Responsibilities Performs outdoor grounds-keeping duties such as mowing, trimming, garbage collection, litter pick up, ball diamond grooming and other maintenance tasks on parks, sports fields, open spaces, and boulevards Operates equipment such as tractors and attachments, one ton dump trucks, truck and trailer, mini loaders, gators, and assorted small engines Directs, guides and leads other staff assigned to work as part of the crew Maintains parks and open spaces to a safe and tidy standard and manages time effectively to complete work plans Represents the Town of Milton in a professional manner and prioritizes customer service Complies with all health and safety practices as it relates to the work, standard operating guidelines and the Occupational Health & Safety Act Perform all other duties in a professional manner as assigned in accordance with Department objectives Education & Experience
