Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office The Business Consultant is responsible for translating moderately complex and varied business needs into application software requirements. Possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems and business analysis and is able to consider the business implications of the application of technology to current and future business environments. This role serves as a subject matter expert in Value-Based Affinity and Attribution analytics, membership reporting, and ad hoc data support. The position is responsible for delivering actionable insights, guiding analytical strategies, and supporting business decision-making across Value-Based Health Programs. This role also provides mentorship to analysts and partners closely with business and technical teams to enhance data-driven outcomes How you will make an impact: Analyze attribution, affinity, membership, claims, provider, and utilization data to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business impacts. Serve as a primary contact for Markets, Advisors, and business partners for ad hoc inquiries related to attribution, membership, provider alignment, and performance metrics. Develop, maintain, and enhance recurring reports, dashboards, and data extracts. Investigate and resolve data quality issues, including attribution discrepancies, membership inconsistencies, and provider population variances. Collaborate with business, IT, and data engineering teams to implement new reporting capabilities and improve existing processes. May lead teams of analysts assigned to complex projects. Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex and varied business needs. Analyzes and designs solutions to address complex and varied business needs. Consults with business partners concerning application and implementation of technology. Minimum requirements: Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 8 years business analysis experience, which should include analysis and project management; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Preferred skills, capabilities, and experiences: Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred. Strong experience with relational databases and advanced SQL. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights. Experience supporting cross-functional stakeholders and managing competing priorities. Experience in healthcare analytics, especially Value-Based Care, Attribution, or Affinity models. Proficiency in tools such as SAS, Python, R, or similar analytical platforms. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Familiarity with Agile environments, data pipelines, and ETL processes. Experience in mentoring or leading analysts.
