Strategically partner with team members, business unit and functional leaders by providing subject matter expertise and best practice for sourcing opportunities.
Build and manage relationships with business unit teams, to enable implementation of business strategies through team alignment, facilitate a sourcing process to coordinate those goals, and closely collaborate with teams to negotiate, contract, and award business to suppliers.
Demonstrates a strategic business mindset, influential leadership, organizational savvy, presents an executive-level presence, and balances multiple stakeholder interests simultaneously.
Develop advanced multi-year category strategies designed to anticipate enterprise-wide requirements while optimizing forecasted shifts in both supply markets, industry trends and supplier economic cycles.
Lead the development and negotiation of contracts with new suppliers and/or renegotiate existing contracts to accomplish lowest total system cost and savings objectives. Deliver ongoing value improvements while driving competitive advantage.
Conduct category spend analyses and reporting, supplier stratification, supply market and category industry research as well as coach category specialists and category managers to produce the same results for their respective areas.
Execute savings tracking activities and report realized savings on a continuous basis. Develop savings pipeline to drive long term value generation in line with category strategy.
Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier reviews in accordance with supplier performance program.
Engage in ethical procurement practices with includes compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures as well and federal, state and local regulations
Display leadership behaviors aligned with CBB values and success model to drive a culture that embodies safety, teamwork, innovation and integrity.
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. Preference in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or equivalent work experience. MBA a plus
10+ years of supply chain experience required, 8 of which requires experience in strategic sourcing or category management
Experience with category management in Glass and/ or PVC Extrusions preferred.
Proven execution of core sourcing skills (negotiation, contracting) and ability to implement sourcing best practices
Superior communication, presentation, and analytical skills
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Requires expertise in operating Microsoft Office programs.
Requires the ability to lead a team and present and project a positive company image with vendors.
Certifications preferred but not required: CPSM, PMP, Lean, and Six Sigma.
Position requires light travel (15-25%)

The Sr Strategic Sourcing Category Manager is a key leader within Cornerstone Building Brands' Strategic Sourcing team and is responsible for creating and driving sourcing value for the glass and related window products spend categories. This person will collaborate with procurement, business unit and functional leadership to generate ongoing value for Cornerstone Building Brands through category strategy management.
This position will align internal & external customer needs with marketplace opportunities to optimize the procurement value proposition. The Sr Strategic Sourcing Category Manager will also assist in driving continuous improvement of related processes throughout Cornerstone Building Brands. This role is expected to provide expertise to business leaders in planning and implementing supply chain strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.
