Provide strong and positive leadership to the Support Services ensuring competent and motivated staff are hired and retained, providing efficient delivery of services.
Coordinate professional and personal development of Support services staff through adequate orientation, on-the-job coaching, and identification of learning, training needs and opportunities and succession planning.
Model Christ-centered servant leadership and support the spiritual development of his/her team.
Actively participate in the Response Senior Management/ Leadership team meetings.
Attend and actively participate in the Response strategic meetings.
Participate in the decision-making process and activation of EMR 01 Emergency Financial and Supply Chain Procedures as necessary and requested by leadership.
Ensure coordination between the Support Service function/ staff and other business units and departments.
Adhere to WVI key policy documents - mission, core values, and covenant of partnership.
Emergency Supply Chain function (Procurement & Logistics)
Ensure the adoption and implementation of best practices in green logistics activities and environmentally friendly fleet management.
Ensure integration of the supply chain as subject matter experts (SMEs) for the Cash & Voucher Assistance (CVA) program when applicable.
Develop and implement procurement and logistics strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of goods and services.
Oversee inventory management, transportation, and distribution processes to support programmatic activities.
Information Technology (IT) Management
Provide strategic direction for IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and technological advancements.

Here's where you come in:
As a Support Services Director in a response, you will provide overall leadership, oversight, and management support for all aspects of Support services. This position is seen as a strategic partner; member of the Senior Management/Leadership Team of the response, with a focus on ensuring accountability, stewardship, coordinating planning and budgeting processes, providing accurate financial data, analysis, and advice; as well as developing Support Services strategy that best serves the response strategic and programme objectives.
Responsible for the support staff capacity strengthening, the development and implementation of good internal controls, risk management, and utilisation and safe guarding of assets according to WV approved policies and procedures.
Provide leadership to the Supply Chain team ensuring that the procurement of organisational resources is executed effectively, efficiently, and economically. Ensure the response is optimally staffed to timely procure & deliver project supplies per grants donor guidelines and WV policies and systems.
Provide overall leadership to the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) team and ensure that the office has reliable, sufficient connectivity and the organisation's information systems and resources are adequately protected.
Provide overall leadership to the Administration function ensuring that the response offices and facilities are effectively supported and staff have a clean, secure, and hospitable place to work.
