About the role

Key tasks : - Actively build up, and maintain a large network with conference organisers and scientific committee members globally; - Deliver competitive and profitable products in line with the open access books strategy by assessing and developing publishing proposals on the basis of market feedback; - Meet goals set by editorial management such as contracts signed and titles published within portfolio managed per year; - Negotiate contract terms with customers in scientific and industrial communities; - Ensure that editorial policies and processes are consistently applied across their own portfolio/teams, and maximise the efficiency of the Atlantis Press portfolio; - Work closely with global books team and other Springer Nature in-house teams to develop international projects/initiatives and provide local support; - Join up the internal and external communication and marketing activities for Atlantis Press, together with Editorial Director and other management team; - Represent Atlantis Press as Ambassador at external events, seminars, conferences, round tables and individual meetings with external parties when needed; - Business travel (domestic/international) as required; Key relationships : - Global conference organizers and book authors; - Global books team and other Springer Nature in-house teams such as journals, content acquisition, sales, production etc. - Third party such as Learnt society, institutions, and Universities etc.
