We are actively seeking a Alliances Manager to join our dynamic team. This position reports directly to the GVP & Regional GM and offers the flexibility to work remotely from a home office located in Tokyo.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Alliances Manager to sell our world-class service offerings. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, a proven track record of sales excellence, ability to meet/exceed quotas, and taking business to the next level. Must be hungry and have a passion for winning. We need someone that can be very hands-on, do whatever it takes to build revenue, and be a strategic thinker with the ability to create long-term relationship with the companies including System Integrator (SI) and Individual Software Vendor (ISV).
As Alliances Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating innovation by leveraging Rimini Street's Smart Path Innovate framework. This approach empowers organizations to optimize their existing enterprise software investments, reduce support costs, and rapidly deploy new technologies-including AI, automation, and advanced workflows-without the need for costly or disruptive upgrades. To maximize the impact of innovation, it is essential to build and nurture strategic alliances with technology partners, consulting firms, and global system integrators. These alliances provide access to cutting-edge solutions, specialized expertise, and expanded market opportunities. By fostering collaborative relationships, you will enable the organization to deliver transformative business outcomes, drive operational efficiency, and maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
The information system departments of many Japanese companies have a history of relying on SI companies to develop, maintain, and operate their systems. For this reason, SI companies often influence their decision making. The role of the relationship director is to ensure that the SI company has a proper understanding of Rimini Street's business and to build relationships with them so that they do not become enemies.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of alliance experience in Software Service like SaaS or SI companies or ERP/DB market. The candidate should also have relationships with Japanese SIs and ISVs executives. Strong communication skills are required, as well as the ability to promote the value of Rimini Street to SIs and ISVs, and to build top-to-top relationships between Rimini Street and SIs/ISVs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Identify Relationship strategies
Control collaborative partners to maximize Rimini Street's revenue
Discussing with GM and identify relationship strategies including messages to SIs/ISVs, target SI/ISV companies with priorities, etc. Analyze SI/ISV companies' strategies and characters, personalize message to each SI/ISV company
Find out contacts and influencers (e.g., someone who knows some executives in the target SI/ISV companies) and make power structure chart
Deliver our messages and identify the person who could be a campion in the targeted SI/ISV company
Arrange Executive Meetings
Set discussions between executives of SI/ISV and Rimini Street
Follow up and Agreement
Based on the executive discussions result, make follow up activities with SI companies and make agreement (sometime verbal agreement) with targeted SI/ISV companies
