About the role

Each employee, without exception, will have a duty assignment and be required to work during a disaster or declared emergency. About You To be considered for this role, you MUST have the following: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in related field AND three (3) years of experience in solid waste operations, landfill gas or an environmental regulatory program or job related work experience -OR- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in related field AND two (2) years of experience in solid waste operations, landfill gas or an environmental regulatory program or job related work experience -OR- Progressively responsible professional experience (totaling a minimum of seven (7) years) may substitute for the required college degree, at management's discretion Be a Florida Certified Landfill Operator or the ability to obtain a certification within six (6) months from the time of hire A valid Florida driver's license at the time of hire Preferred "BONUS" Qualifications: Working knowledge and experience with landfill gas systems, well field monitoring, and surface emission monitoring Familiar with Title V, NSPS, GHG, and other applicable regulations, sampling/monitoring equipment and processes including GEM 5000, FID, gas analyzers and other industry standard equipment, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of flare systems Ability to perform small pipe repair and construction related activities Experience in data management and reporting Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles and systems Physical Demands: May occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds Subject to Passing Substance Screening: This position is subject to passing a pre-employment substance screening. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment for a period of five years.
