About the role
Reporting to the Head of Department, the Course Coordinator (Community Services) provides academic leadership and oversight of assigned courses, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, assessment, and student outcomes. Qualifications that are equivalent to, or at least one AQF level higher than the course being coordinated. Demonstrated understanding of higher education learning, teaching, and assessment practices. A current Paid/Employee WWC card.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' full-time relevant industry experience within Community Services or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in higher education course coordination, academic leadership, or program management.
- Experience supporting academic staff and overseeing course delivery, assessment, and quality assurance activities.
- Sound knowledge of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) and TEQSA regulatory requirements.
- Experience in curriculum development, course review, assessment design, moderation, and continuous improvement processes.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using academic performance and student success data to inform decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
