Business Development Associates (BDAs) work diligently to engage quality addressable market accounts and prospect potential new business on behalf of Senior Business Development Representatives (Outside Sales). Business Development Associates contribute to the delivery of overall sales goals by engaging these accounts through consistent call and email outreach to book both initial and additional product demos. They will also improve prospect information stored in PitchBook's CRM through consistent documentation of all prospect or client contacts. Primary Job Responsibilities: Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly outreach goals including demo and call volume while providing an excellent experience for prospective clients Connect with quality addressable market accounts in the prospect pipeline through written and verbal communication to book demos that show off the PitchBook product offering, help expand audiences within sales cycles through additional demonstrations, and drive deal closure Drive engagement with prospects through personally crafted messages and outreach and/or marketing provided materials via Highspot Utilize Outreach to assist in regular and timely communication with potential clients Act as a consultant to prospects by seeking to understand their needs and business priorities Guide potential clients through needs analysis and discovery sessions to qualify leads and drive new opportunities Work closely with Senior Business Development Representatives to learn about the needs of our clients and the end-to-end sales cycle Work continuously to document the details of each prospective client interaction in Salesforce in order to improve the customer experience and drive deal closure Consistent follow-up on prospective client inquiries Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1+ year of successful sales experience, with a technology product preferred
  • Prior experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
  • Interested in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital
  • Love to prospect - you will act as the engine of our sales team, warming up leads to be shared with Outside Sales
  • Ability to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results
  • Highly curious with a positive attitude
  • Terrific prioritization skills to handle the large volume of leads efficiently
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and can effectively close leads
  • Team player with entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to try new ideas in order to achieve greater levels of success
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and goal-oriented and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily
