As an Electrical Component Design Engineer you will be responsible for driving the design and implementation of components and subsystems within the electrical system of propulsion programs. You will translate and flow down system-level requirements to the component level and produce technical documentation in accordance with Avio Aero/GE Aerospace standard processes. You will collaborate with internal independent organizations and external suppliers to provide technical guidance on component and subsystem design, development, validation, and certification across the entire component lifecycle, in alignment with product deliverables and program milestones This is a cross-functional role, closely interacting with Sourcing, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure the complete lifecycle management of components within the program. Job Description Essential Responsabilities Capture system requirements, flow- down them to assess components and subsystems architecture and key design characteristics. Develop and document electronic/electrical components, subsystems requirements and design relevant, but not limited, to engine electrical components and accessories Lead and execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned electrical component/subsystem using the engineering principles and adhering tu business standars, practices, procedures and product/ program requirements Ensure the component/subsystem design and hardware deliverables to internal and external customers, embracing Avio Aero design execution quality within deadline agreed with technical leaders and/or program managerd with respect to product lifecyle (from concept through design reviews gates, prototype and certification, field introduction, investigation and sustaining) Contribute and support validation test plan/execution activities, post-processing data analysis to assure the operational and functional requirements compliance with product/ program requirements Contribute to suppliers steering and performance plan monitoring to ensure the overall Propulsion System integration and compliance with the intended functions Support source technological substantiation and non-conformances assessments (MRB) Support activities related to development findings, component performance and investigations (test request, test data post process, laboratory investigation) Qualification/Requirements Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or Aerospace Engineering Robust knowledge of fundamental electrical design concepts with previous proven working experience in Electrical System Engineering (mainly electrical components and accessories) Knowledge in defining electrical component/subsystem design intent, lead analysis, support to reviews, procurement and validation in all product lifecycle Knowledged of Electrical Modelling and CAD tools and stack- ups activities for electrical component/subsystem mounting interface Knowledged on problem solving, risk analysis and mitigation plan Fluent Italian and English Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills Strong team- work & commitment skills Proactive and critical thinker for problem resolution, risk analysis and mitigation Established project management skills
