Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Research, prototype and develop solutions to innovate and improve Qualys' technology platform
• Design and implement distributed, scalable, high-performance micro service based applications
• Produce high quality software with scalable architecture and design principles

Requirements

• A successful candidate will have some experience with large scale software systems, a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.
• 3+ Years of professional work experience as Programmer/Developer in the Software Industry
• Excellent programming and designing skills in Java
• Good understanding of relational databases and/or NoSQL databases.
• Good understanding of basic networking concepts, operating system fundamentals, data structures and algorithms
• Strong problem solving, logical thinking and analytical skills for problem solving/ debugging
• Understanding of System Design by playing with a black box system
• Concepts of Software Engineering and Agile / Project Management
• Clear communication: Comprehension of English, Articulation in English and Effective Communication
