Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Carpenter for our Operation Facilities Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Carpenter you will: - Regularly address damaged surfaces using sandpaper, wire brushes, or steel wool; remove old paint from surfaces using paint remover, scrapes, and wire brushes to prepare surfaces for painting 20% - Properly fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty, plaster, or other filler(s), including sheetrock and plaster finish 5% - Paint surfaces using brushes, spray guns, or paint rollers 35% - Erect scaffolding or ladders; spread cloth or canvas over floors and furniture to protect them from splattered paint; wash walls as necessary 15% - Install vinyl base, wall protection, replace floor tiles, and complete similar work requests 10% - Perform preventative maintenance as assigned and document work within the CMMS 10% - Other duties as assigned Qualifications include: - High school diploma or GED - 2+ years of experience as painter/carpenter - Valid US driver's license required Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hrs/week Typical Daily Schedule: predominantly 2 nd shift, ( 2:30pm-10pm) flexibility is needed since work may be on any shift including weekends. Shift Type: Rotating Weekend Requirements: A s needed, estimated at 1x a month if any.
