We are looking for a Junior Demand Planning Analyst with advanced Excel skills to support our demand forecasting and sales planning processes within a dynamic, international environment. This is a 12 month fixed term contract based in Cluj Napoca . We offer a hybrid working model. Key responsibilities of the role: Support the collection, consolidation, and validation of customer sales forecasts and demand inputs from sales teams and key accounts Maintain and update demand forecasts in internal planning systems (ERP / planning tools) Use advanced Excel functions to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and improve forecast accuracy Monitor and analyze actual order intake versus forecast and highlight deviations Prepare regular reporting, dashboards, and forecast accuracy analyses for monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) cycles Support demand review and supply review meetings with structured data inputs and follow-ups Apply agreed forecast adjustments in planning systems accurately and within deadlines Ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of forecast data across products and customers Collaborate closely with sales, supply chain, and production planning teams Required skills and qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in an analytical, planning, or customer support role (internships included) University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or a related field Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, advanced formulas, data modelling) Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a structured, process-driven environment Strong communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams Fluent English (written and spoken) Preferred skills and qualifications: Exposure to demand planning, supply chain, or S&OP processes Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar planning tools) Knowledge of Power BI or similar data visualization tools Additional language skills (German or other European languages are an advantage) Proactive and adaptable mindset with strong problem-solving abilities Interest in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations About the Location: Our Cluj‑Napoca office is a key European hub for Copeland, supporting engineering, IT, finance, marketing, and customer operations.
