Bachelor's degree in EHS technical, business-related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Eight or more years of experience in an EHS role, preferably within a mission-critical environment.
Certifications from Board of Certified Safety Professionals or equivalent, or ability to obtain within two years.
Solid experience in designing and implementing systems to manage EHS operational risks.
Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
OSHA 30 and DOT HazMat certifications.
Experience in communicating with Federal, State, and Local Authorities regarding EHS issues.
Knowledge of facilities management, engineering, and construction.
Prior experience working in a data center environment.

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs across QTS Data Centers. This role requires a proactive approach to developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS initiatives while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The EHS Manager is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety and awareness throughout the organization.

Develop and implement EHS policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all QTS data center employees.
Ensure regulatory compliance across all EHS programs.
Conduct and review audits of EHS programs, making recommendations for improvement.
Maintain environmental permits and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
Investigate and analyze incident reports involving work-related injuries and illnesses and recommend preventive measures.
Identify operational EHS and sustainability risks, analyze their potential business impact, and develop programs to mitigate them.
Assess EHS training needs and ensure the provision of necessary workforce training activities.
Lead the site EHS champions in the successful implementation of EHS programs.
Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory documents. Set, manage, and track corporate-wide EHS goals.
Establish a performance dashboard highlighting key EHS indicators.
Foster a culture of EHS awareness and drive safety performance throughout the organization.
