Experience / Competences
Essential
Proficient in programming or scripting language such as Javascript, Java or similar
Demonstrable experience using JIRA, Zephyr, UI Automation tooling (Test Complete, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) Python, Cucumber, jBehave or similar frameworks
Adept at developing end to end functional automated tests
Background in back-end session client/server automation using Javascript, VeriFIX (FIX session automation will be added advantage)
Exposure to GUI automation using, Selenium, Web Driver IO using javascript
Non-Functional testing including performance, load, stress and security testing using tools like JMeter, K6 or similar
Experienced using CI/CD tooling such as GitLab, Jenkins.
Ability to work within Agile development teams with a BDD approach to help define and refine requirements.
Understanding of trade life cycle and knowledge of broker/ trader platforms
Appreciation of the full SDLC and driving the importance of quality throughout this process.
Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive and independent approach to problem solving and innovative solutions.
As a specialist role, the individual should be delivery-focused and pragmatic, capable of working on multiple tasks simultaneously and managing deadlines.

Role Overview
The QA Engineer will work within an Agile team as an advocate of Quality and will drive Behavioural Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) to ensure business outcomes are delivered.
The QA Engineer will work closely with Developers, Data Engineers, Business Analysts and Product Owners. Strong in automation skills, they will part of an Agile team driving a shift left methodology to achieve a high level of automation, of which the key focus will be UI, API and FIX protocol testing. The successful candidate will be able to define test frameworks and execute test scenarios.
